About Bina
We kept Bina from our B-litter (sired by Pelle and out of Whisper).
To choose from the three female puppies in the litter we found very difficult, but I think Bina knew she was staying long before we did!
All the puppies in the B-litter were named after African birds. We wanted to create a connection to Jamie, who came from South Africa, and to Pelle, whose kennel name is "Mallard" (a kind of duck). Bina is named after the "Blue Swallow". This shiny little blue-black bird breeds in the Afromontane region (from Tanzania to South Africa) and winters north of Lake Victoria. It has a "bee-bee-bee-bee" call in addition to its "chip-chip" sound. The name "Bina" signifies not only "wisdom and understanding" but also "bee". She bears this name also in memory of our Ella, who sadly did not live to see the birth of the "B-litter" puppies.
We are very excited to see what the future holds for us!
